Safety Warnings

 

 With proper use and care, you will be enjoying wonderful fresh tacos for years to come. Beware that cooking tacos entails the use of hot oil. Attention to safe practices can avoid serious injuries.                                                                                                                     

                                                              

WARNING - Use CAUTION when cooking with hot oil

    

  • DO NOT leave pan unattended.
  • DO NOT allow children near TacoPan.  Keep children a safe distance to avoid hot oil injuries.
  • DO check that all extra liquids (water moisture, grease, etc) are removed from tortilla shells and taco filling prior to cooking tacos. Such material could cause hot cooking oil to splatter during cooking process and could result in hot oil injury.
  • DO NOT overfill pan with oil. DO NOT exceed 5 total tablespoons.
  • DO check oil for appropriate cooking temperature. Place a corner of uncooked tortilla in Oil. If oil around shell bubbles slightly, the oil is ready for cooking.
  • DO NOT allow taco filling to spill into hot oil during cooking process. Remove any spilled materials immediately. Such material could cause hot cooking oil to splatter during cooking process and could result in hot oil injury.
  • DO NOT place food in oil which is smoking. Carefully remove pan from heat, allow to cool, and reheat to lower temperature.
  • DO distribute cooked tacos evenly around TacoPan.
  • DONOT use water to smother flames, in case of ignition. Smother flames with baking soda and turn off stove top
  • DO NOT clean TacoPan until it is completely cooled.
